The Palestinian Heritage Museum was first established by the late Ms Hind Husseiniin 1962 with the emergence of an urgent need for informing the outside world andLocal Community alike about the rich and ancient Palestinian Popular and TraditionalHeritage. It was named “The Popular Arab Palestinian HeritageCentre” under the directorship of Mrs. Zainab Jawad Husseini, themuseum’s first director. Within a few years the museum expandedto occupy all three floors with numerous quantitative and qualitativeadditions to its variety of precious holdings. In 1994, and followinghis death, the museum was named after “Sheikh Ahmad Jaffali” ,one of Dar Tifel’s biggest contributors.
